Gwendolyn Barr

It is with great sorrow Wilson Funeral Home announces the passing of Ms. Gwendolyn Chaplin Barr, who peacefully departed this life on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the Lexington Hospice House, Lexington, SC. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Chaplin and the late Inez Spearman Chaplin.

Her memory lives on through one son, Thomas Barr (Regina) Elk Grove, California, two sisters, Nora Chaplin, Crystal Chaplin, two brothers, Dennis Chaplin, Courtland Chaplin, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild and a host of special friends and relatives.

Memorial Service will be held 2pm Monday February 9, 2026, at Hampton's Crossing Community Center, 515 Northwood Rd, Lexington, SC 29072
